A detailed examination is carried out to assess and confirm your suitability by one of our experienced specialist refractive optometrists.

Counselling and Advice Service

Carried out with a trained and certified patient counsellor. Your specialist refractive optometrist will also be able to provide counselling advice as requested.

Fully Qualified Experienced Ophthalmic Surgeons

One of the reasons people have their surgery carried out at Optical Express is because we use highly skilled, experienced and dedicated surgeons. All our ophthalmologists are registered with the General Medical Council and specialise in the field of refractive surgery. Together they have carried out over 1,000,000 laser and IOL treatments. Our IOL surgeons are fully trained and accredited by intraocular lens suppliers to use their products. Furthermore, they are annually assessed by the International Medical Advisory Board, consisting of several of the world's leading refractive surgeons, including Steve Schallhorn, former Head of Ophthalmology for the US Navy, and treating Surgeon to NASA and Mission Control.
