What is meant by a stable prescription?

A stable prescription is a prescription that has not had any significant changes for at least 12 months.

Your prescription tends to stabilise by your late teens to early twenties which means there will be no more significant change after this time. Normally any changes after this age are minimal and only small changes to your prescription would be required to sharpen up your vision.

During your eye examination with us your current prescription will be compared to your previous prescription to monitor any changes.
