Cliodhna Flannery
Completing her BSc in Optometry from Dublin Institute of Technology, Cliodhna began her optometry career in Bristol in 2011.
Her wealth of experience and knowledge has been pivotal in her role as an optometrist. She has been directly involved in Charity Eye Care and travelled to Mozambique for 3 weeks where she helped train the first ever Eye Specialists in the country. This experience sparked her interest in refractive surgery where she can positively change lives every day.
Cliodhna joined Optical Express in London in 2018 and has since been an important part of our expert multidisciplinary team. Most recently she has moved home to Ireland has taken up her role in our Northern Ireland Newry clinic where she constantly thrives and provides excellent quality patient care. She is part of the Surgery Support team, where she assists our Ophthalmic Surgeons by preparing patients for laser eye, cataract and lens replacement surgery procedures.
